Mediterranean Region
The history of Mediterranean cuisine is long! It all started when people who lived near the Mediterranean Sea started selling food about 2500 years ago. Together, they produced some excellent foods like pasta, falafel, and hummus by combining their recipes and sharing olives, grapes, and wheat. Mediterranean cuisine gained popularity over time for its flavorful, fresh ingredients and the delight of dining with loved ones.
